Number 1 leading distraction in church.

The Committee was a San Francisco-based improvisational comedy group founded by Alan Myerson and Jessica Myerson, formerly known as Irene Ryan, Irene Riordan and now known as Latifah Taormina. The Myersons were both alums of The Second City in Chicago. The Committee opened April 10, 1963 at 622 Broadway in a 300-seat Cabaret theater that used to be an indoor bocce ball court in San Francisco's North Beach. Garry Goodrow, Hamilton Camp, Larry Hankin, Kathryn Ish, Scott Beach and Ellsworth Milburn were the cast. In the late 1960s, The Committee was asked to form another company to perform in Los Angeles. Peter Bonerz, Mel Stewart, Barbara Bosson, Jessica Myerson, Richard Stahl, Kathryn Ish, Garry Goodrow, Howard Hesseman, Carl Gottlieb, Chris Ross and Rob Reiner were the stalwarts in Los Angeles. The group contributed voiceovers to Garson Kanin's 1969 comedy-drama "Where It's At." In 1971, six members of The Committee, including Scott Beach and Terry McGovern, improvised the off-screen dialogue for George Lucas's THX-1138, out of which emerged the name Wookiee due to McGovern's improvisation "I think I just ran over a Wookie back there." The revolving group of players presented satirical political comedy in San Francisco until 1972.

I talk about the true definition of improv comedy and how deep this definition can really go! The Art of Nothing is dedicated to seeing how improv connects with enlightenment. Stick around! This ride is going nowhere!

In this video I describe the improv comedy rule of "Yes, And...". I also use this concept to explore how its use can make you a better DM. 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons uses a lot of improv, so why not learn from the improvisers that came before us. Disclaimer: I'm no expert at either of these things! I am a fan and hobbyist of both, so please bear that in mind while critiquing! Thank you for watching!

How to Improv Comedy techniques [YES AND] ...(!+) Is there more? In my lifelong learning I had questions while educating myself in long form improvisational comedy. I was studying under the best improvisers in the world yet I felt like "Yes And" was a concept. A phrase past along but undefined or highly teachable. In my lifelong learning I decided I was going to stream line the improv comedy technique "Yes And" and make that my improv comedy mission. I have taught this all over North America as it has progressed to where I have it here. I have also included the traditional way of teaching Yes And as well as the applied improv look at it as well.
I hope this helps you on your journey with in comedy from stand up and sketch, as well as improv. Below are the chapters of the video. enjoy the free improv class/ workshop what ever you wanna call it.

Respectfully,

Aaron Merke
