Keeping Up Appearances (1990–1995) is a beloved British sitcom created by Roy Clarke. The show follows the snobbish and socially ambitious Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced “Bouquet”), played by Patricia Routledge, who goes to great lengths to appear upper-class despite her humble background. Her long-suffering husband, Richard, and quirky neighbors often find themselves caught in her outrageous attempts to impress high society. Meanwhile, her working-class relatives, including her slovenly sister Daisy and brother-in-law Onslow, constantly undermine her efforts. Known for its sharp wit and brilliant performances, Keeping Up Appearances remains a classic of British comedy, celebrated for its humor and satire.
